George Washington High               School (SFUSD)

 an interdepartmental/interdisciplinary "Attendance Task Force" to help increase the attendance rates of their high-risk ELL students.

The School Nurses of California Foundation (SNOCF) provides financial support for:
  • Programs and supplies to help keep students healthy and ready to learn.
  • Unfunded legislative mandates that can improve the health and well-being of California students and the school community.  
  • Assist with funding of data collection, reports, and technology, focused on improving school health.
  • Organizations that promote and enhance the value of school nursing.
  • School Nurses who conduct and publish research working to improve the health of California students.


School nurses understand the link between student health and academic success, and the complex factors involved in promoting and supporting student health.
